Autocorrect issues
It's not always showing me the suggestions I want, and sometimes it shows ones I don't want.
3 votesWe believe it is working reasonably well at this point so that priority has shifted to other issues. If you feel there is some specific way that autocorrect could be improved, please post a new idea.

Hold-Spacebar to move cursor: Simulate vertical cursor movement workaround suggestion.
The addition of hold-and-slide on the spacebar has been great. I know Apple has restricted vertical cursor movement.
A workaround suggestion: I don't know if Apple permits it, but
I suggest that if upwards/downwards movement is detected, the cursor moves back/forwards approximately the number of characters in a line, (say about 40 or 50 characters), until you release your finger. It doesn't really matter if it doesn't end up exactly above where it was, all we need is to go backwards in our document quickly!
I know there's not much space for downward movement, but there's a few mm, and…
3 votesSorry I forgot to update this but this was implemented in Typefinity (not PadKeys) a while ago.

Haptics / vibrations on key presses.
Hi,
Would it be possible to add an option to allow for haptic feedback every time a key is pressed?
3 votesHello, this is already supported! Go to Typefinity's settings, Key Clicks, and select either Haptic or Haptic+S (haptic and sound).

Missing label "%" on the french layout
I've been using your keyboard for more than a year now. I'm used to the place of some keys. But there is one frustrating "issue" on the French layout!
The "%" is not shown ! See screenshot joined .
Adding it would not break your way of following the Apple keyboard😉3 votesDone in 4.1.2.

make shadows optional
would make design much cleaner
3 votesShadows have been made lighter in colored themes as of version 3.0.

Pull down alternate symbols
Is it possible to have the alternate symbols and numbers are accessed by pulling down on the key like the standard IOS 11 keyboard ?
3 votesImplemented in 3.2.1, swipe up rather than down, which seems more intuitive.

undo button and redo button in lower left corner
would rather have undo and redo in left bottom corner than fwd delete. space for this (2 buttons please, instead of 1, undo/redo by toggling is nogo) can be reclaimed from inconsistent extra spacing in bottom row, and if needed, by shortening the space bar by 2 mm. with no undo/redo you are forced to rely on apples shortcut menu that robs precious display real estate. speaking of which: awesome improvement with flattened keyboard on normal ipad. keep up the listening and good modifications. thanks!
3 votesWe’ve added undo/redo buttons (and paste) in PadKeys’ own shortcut bar, so no need for Apple’s on this count.

Paste button location!
It incredible how some people have very large hands & fingers !
Back space is a very frequently used key.
So if were not accidentally hitting the " ] " key were hitting the paste button key.
Any chance you could reposition it on the right side of the undo key?
Or all together be able to switch/move the undo redo paste buttons to the left side of the keyboard ?
As in leaving blank the space that the paste button currently occupies.
So we could avoid all together hitting the " ] " by tapping the top part of…
2 votesWe will consider this, but such a change can have pros and cons. Moving the buttons to the left side may cause interference when trying to select or suppress the top word suggestion.
UPDATE: We ended up implementing a different solution in the 4.1.1 release. We swapped the paste button to the left of undo/redo. Redo is rarely enabled (only just after an undo) so this should make the problem less likely to occur.

Swipe and predictive text in all apps.
I reached out to the developers about this issue, but I would appreciate the swipe and predictive text to work in all apps as gboard and swype keyboards allow. I would also like what I've typed to be included in the predictive text box (see gboard) if not in the dictionary and then added to the dictionary for future use if I select it, which i believe does happen. Also an option for lower case or upper case in the predictive text field if accidently did one or the other to a properly spelled word. With this layout and those…
2 votesWe have added this as the “Always Show Suggestions” option under the “Advanced” section of the Settings (tap label in upper left of the panel).

Symbols on keys
It would be nice to have the symbols on each key and long press them for the symbols. And adjust the size of keys and built in emoji.
2 votesKey labels can be shown if you turn on “Show Shift Hints” in PadKeys Settings. (There’s a video on our YouTube channel about accessing Settings if you’re having trouble getting it open.) Long-press menus are there for many keys. Hitting opt will show you which ones with a dot in the upper left.
We have no plans for layout changes or emoji — we recommending installing a specialist keyboard (iOS built-in or third-party) for that and switch back and forth w/Globe key.

Reduce the height of the keyboard on iPhone
I really like your iPhone keyboard but suggest that you look to reduce the height to the top of the QWERTY row to be the same as the standard iPhone keyboard (or even a little smaller). Right now the main Keys are higher and it means your keyboard takes more vertical space than it needs to, affecting usability.
Taken a bit further, it would be lovely to have a "slim keyboard" option to reduce the total height to match the standard keyboard.
2 votes“Short mode” now available in portrait orientation as of release 4.5.3. (Set independently in portrait and landscape.) In short mode the keyboard is shorter than the stock keyboard.
Please note, you should remove the iOS shortcuts bar (under System Settings | General | Keyboard) for maximum space efficiency.

More press-and-hold features
When you press and hold the “a” key, a menu of alternatives pops up: ã, å, ā, à, á, â, ä, æ. There are a few other letter-keys with this feature.
First: could you put some sort of visual tag on these keys (such as a small notch) to indicate that alternative characters are available?
Second: could you expand the selection of keys that have this feature? For example:
hyphen: non-breaking hyphen, en dash, figure dash, bullet.
quotation mark: left double quote, right double quote, left double guillomet, right double guillomet
apostrophe: left single quote, riht single quote, left single…2 votesWe have added a selection of these for version 2.1. A dot in the upper left when option is pressed indicates that a key holds a menu. The menu that pops up is currently affected by shift, but not by opt.

Double–click spacebar for period
Very nice keyboard. I miss 2x–tapping of space bar for period, as on Apple keyboard.
Thanks
2 votesThis is an option in PadKeys Settings, though off by default. Check our YouTube channel, linked from this site and also the PadKeys instructions app, for a video showing how to access Settings.

Make words show in all caps when swiping out words while caps lock is enabled.
Currently with caps lock enabled, swiping out a word will result in only the first letter being capitalized.
2 votesThis was fixed in release 4.2.1.

Can I have Padkeys, English UK?
I would very much appreciate an English UK (44?) version of your Padkeys keyboard. Or, if there is one, how do I get it?
2 votesYou just need to select it in PadKeys Settings. This video might help:

Autocorrect can be turned off or to suggestions-only mode using the slider in Settings. (To access settings, follow the instructions in the container app: hold down the Globe key when PadKeys keyboard is up, then slide your finger to the Gear and release.)

Known Issue: Breakage in iOS 9
It seems in the most recent iOS 9 betas PadKeys will appear correctly the first time you use it in an app session, but then if it gets put away and then displayed again, the display will be messed up and nonfunctional.
We are investigating.
For now, a work-around is to exit the app by pressing the Home button, then come back in again.
2 votesBetween our own efforts and fixes Apple implemented before the final release, things seem to be working fine under iOS 9. If you still find problems please post a new issue. Thanks!

It is difficult to read the keys.
The font of the keys should be larger and bold. At least give on option.
2 votesWe increased the default font size, and when bold text is turned on in Accessibility settings we make the font bold as well.

Could overall footprint of keyboard be reduced, include a mini mode?
I find that the default iOS keyboard size especially on my iPad Pro 12.9 in landscape mode is way too big taking away half my visible work area. I did not buy this tablet to buy an external keyboard, I just wish I had 70% or more working area when the keyboard is deployed. Could PadKeys somehow address this?
2 votesHave you tried “Short mode”? Long press the keyboard-away key while in landscape mode.
If that’s still not good enough please be more specific about what would work better.
Thanks!
